Creating a dimension with Interface tables

For the ones who have started using BPMA to manage the outline in Hyperion Planning, there are two options to create the dimensions. Either make the .ads file or populate the Interface tables with the relevant information.

Maintaining and developing an .ads file is rather cumbersome and updating the Master version takes considerably more time as compared to pulling the data from the Interface tables.

As a consultant I am usually making recommendations to customers for processes and products. On a recent discussion with a client (a major bank) I was basically working out an enterprise architecture to support their reporting requirements. In a move to consolidate its operations and personnel the bank has made a central body to take charge of ALL reporting requirements of the organization locally as well as globally.
